How to help
The Pirate Bay and the Spectrial needs your help. Here are some ways. Please make up new ones. See our feeds for emergency needs, they will arise. Also see the How to help-posts.
Spread the word
Talk to your friends. Write at your blogs, walls and anywhere you can. Explain to your grandma.
If you’re reporting in Swedish, post your info to the group #spectrial at the Swedish microblogsystem Bloggy.se (if you’re swedish and not a member yet, plz do become one!)
Lots of press and bloggers are going to cover the trial live from the courtroom. There will also be live audiostreams available, both in swedish and translated live to english. All links to important sources will be published at the bottom of this page. Please email us more of those links, we are too busy to find all of them.
Translate the news
We also need your help translating the news covering the Spectrial. The main reporting will be through Twitter and Bloggy feeds, they are also available at our main page. This is some of the ways the translation can be done:
Swedish –> English
Follow the feed from Bloggy.se, blogs and other, older media reports. Translate stuff you regard important to english (if it’s too much, Google Translate it!) Post your finished report anywhere, whether its text, video, audio or a painting. Make your post known to the world in the Twitterfeed #spectrial by adding the word “#spectrial” last to your tweet. You will receive love.
Swedish –> any other language
Follow the steps above but post to localized twitter-feeds, e.g. “#spectrial-es” for spanish, or “#spectrial-de” for german. Please let us know of new languages.
Really good at translating?
Come spend some time at the bus with Spectrial and Bambuser. Once here we will put you to work translating Bambuser’s video reports. You will receive love. Contact Johan Allgoth // 0732-514433 for this.
